you love me but you don't know who i am

I've found things to distract me from my homesickness!

1. my Modern Structures professor reminds me of Ms. Wickham
2. my writing seminar professor reminds me or Ann McCue
3. I saw someone last week who looks exactly like Tweedy
4. I saw someone yesterday who looks really similar to Graham
5. my Physics professor looks like that magician sub we had in Fairview, but acts like a male verson of Ms. Dozier
6. my math professor is like 25 years old and a good teacher
7. my math TA is a REALLY hot grad student
8. i got into the orchestra!! (forgot to say that before) rehearsals every mon. and wed. 8:30-10:30 pm, so friggin late, and i have an 8:40 am class on tues. and thurs...
9. my stand partner is a guy (never had that in the viola section before!) and a junior, but not hot at all... sigh.
10. the orchestra director is SO much cooler than mr. wallace... oh my god. it's a whole other dimension of energetic orchestra directors... he's awesome. and he was trying to learn all the violists' names at rehearsal yesterday, and he forgot my name and spent like 5 minutes trying to remember it without looking at his list. hilarity.
11. there are people on my floor who actually go to bed around 11 like me and actually do their work
12. there's no one who's a really hard-core party type on my floor (or my half of the floor. there are 2 sides, 5 and 6, i'm on the 6 side). i guess that's what you get in an Ivy league.
13. we get free Napster!!!
14. there's a video rental place just up the hill on campus, $20 for unlimited rentals the whole year. score.
15. i'm sort of getting in shape with all this walking... it doesn't seem so bad any more
16. Katrina made it rain all day yesterday and made it 10 degrees cooler.. it's so nice now.
17. a girl down the hall has lemonade mix! and she lets me have somw whenever i want.
18. the arts library is the coolest library ever. there's like 20 libraries on campus, and i plan to spend a break between classes in each one of them before the year ends...
19. speaking of which, i have an hour between 2 classes on tues, thurs, and friday.. there's so many places to explore here!
20. the food is awesome. finding someone to eat with presents a problem in the middle of the day since i always have class 11:40-1:00, but for dinner there's always someone around.
21. i started a rubik's cube trend on my floor... sort of. there's a guy down the hall who can solve it like Nick or Liza, and he's already solved mine 3 times, and he's gotten other guys hooked on them...

I'm doing better! Thanks, everyone. Just, thanks. For everything you've ever done for me. :)
